Beskrivelse
– Between the beginning of the 18th century and the end of Queen Victoria’s reign the Scottish regiments of the British Army gained a reputation as fighting men unsurpassed anywhere in the world, a reputation they were to enhance during the trials of the major wars which lay ahead. Their dress has always aroused interest whereever they have served, and although other regiments have proud histories, the Scottish dress has often been the focal point of British military prowess in the eyes of allies and enemies alike. A memory of their splendour is a bright dash of colur in the troubled history of the world.Uindbundet. – 27 sider. – Med illustrationer af uniformer i sort/ hvid og farver. – Med enkelte spor på indbinding.
